Move the carriage all the way to the rear of the thrust frame and raise the thrust frame (Figure 1).
Move the machine to a level surface, shut off the engine, remove the key, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position, and wait for the engine to cool; refer to the Operator’s Manual.

Remove the current flag.

Apply (blue) thread-locking adhesive to the bolts and install the new flag.
Torque the bolts to 7 to 9 N∙m (67 to 83 in-lbs).

Start the machine and slowly move the carriage forward so the flag is over the sensor.
Adjust the sensor so the gap is 0.23 to 0.38 cm (0.09 to 0.15 inch).

Torque the sensor nuts to 18 to 22 N∙m (13-1/2 to 16-1/2 ft-lbs).
