Important: You cannot use or install the Ball Cage Kit (Model No. 07161) with this kit.
Park the machine on a level surface.
Engage the parking brake.
Shut off the engine and remove the key.

Parts needed for this procedure:

| Carriage bolt | 2 |
| Bolt (5/16 x 3/4 inch) | 4 |
Note: Install all fasteners loosely.
Install the long mount-bracket assembly through the bumper (Figure 2).

Open the hood.
Secure the bumper-mount bracket using 2 nuts (5/16 inch) as shown in Figure 2.
Close the hood.
Install the brush guard to the long mount-bracket assembly using 2 carriage bolts and 2 nuts (5/16 inch) as shown in Figure 3.

Secure the brush guard to the bumper-mount bracket using 4 bolts (5/16 x 3/4 inch) and 4 nuts (5/16 inch) as shown in Figure 4 and Figure 5.


Torque all fasteners to 198 to 254 N∙cm (175 to 225 in-lb).

Note: Install all fasteners loosely.
Install the short upper brush-guard bracket through the bumper (Figure 6.

Open the hood.
Secure the bumper-support bracket using 2 nuts (5/16 inch) as shown in Figure 6.
Close the hood.
Install the brush-guard bracket to the brush guard using 4 bolts (5/16 x 3/4 inch) and 4 nuts (5/16 inch) as shown in Figure 7.

Install the lower brush-guard bracket to the bumper-support bracket using 4 bolts (3/8 x 1 inch) and 4 nuts (3/8 inch) as shown in Figure 8 and Figure 9.


Install the brush guard to the short upper brush-guard bracket using 2 carriage bolts and 2 nuts (5/16 inch) as shown in Figure 10.

Torque the fasteners securing the lower brush-guard bracket to the bumper-support bracket to 37 to 45 N∙m (27 to 33 ft-lb).
Torque all remaining fasteners to 198 to 254 N∙cm (175 to 225 in-lb).
