Note: Determine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position.

Installation

Preparing the Machine

  1. Park the machine on a level surface.

  2. Lower the mower decks.

  3. Engage the parking brake, shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving parts to stop.

    Caution

    If you leave the key in the switch, someone could accidently start the engine and seriously injure you or bystanders.

    Remove the key from the ignition switch before you do any maintenance.

  4. Open the hood.

  5. Rotate the battery-disconnect switch to the OFF position (Figure 1).

  6. Allow the engine to cool down.

Removing the Existing Bracket and Connectors

  1. Remove the inlet, middle, and DPF machine harness connectors from the engine harness connectors.

  2. Remove the hoses under the pressure sensor (Figure 1).

  3. Remove the pressure sensor and the inlet and middle engine connectors from existing engine bracket (Figure 3).

    Note: There are labels on the wire harness to help identify the inlet and middle connectors.

  4. Remove the existing bracket and hardware from the engine. Discard the bracket and hardware.

Installing the Brackets and Connectors

  1. Install the front bracket to the frame with 2 carriage bolts (1/4 x 3/4 inches) and 2 flange nuts (1/4 inch); refer to Figure 3.

  2. Install the rear bracket to the frame and air cleaner bracket with a bolt (5/16 x 1-1/4 inches); refer to Figure 3.

  3. Install the main bracket to the front bracket with 2 carriage bolts (1/4 x 3/4 inches) and 2 flange nuts (1/4 inch); refer to Figure 3.

  4. Install the main bracket to the rear bracket with a carriage bolt (1/4 x 3/4 inches) and a flange nut (1/4 inch); refer to Figure 3.

  5. Install the pressure sensor to the main bracket with 2 hex socket-head bolt (1/4 x 1 inch), 2 flat washers (1/4 inch), and 2 flange nuts (1/4 inch); refer to Figure 3

  6. Install the inlet and middle engine connector wires into the clip tie (Figure 3).

  7. Secure the inlet and middle engine connectors to the main bracket with 2 cable ties (Figure 3).

  8. Install the previously removed hoses to the bottom of the pressure sensor (Figure 2).

  9. Install the inlet, middle and DPF machine harness connectors to the engine harness connectors.

  10. Rotate the battery-disconnect switch to the ON position (Figure 5).

  11. Close the hood and secure it with the 2 hood latches.
