Important: You must have the Multi-Tool Attachment (Model 08854) and the Box Blade Attachment Holder (Model 08861) installed prior to installing the Box Blade Extension Kit.
The Box Blade Extension Kit increases the width of the machine and can cause injury to bystanders and damage to property.
Install the Box Blade Extension Kit only when intending to use it at a work site.
Do not transport or store the Box Blade Extension Kit while it is installed on the machine.

Park the machine on a level surface or move the machine to a machine lift.
Engage the parking brake.
Raise the mid-mount attachment. Insert the depth control pin into the position to keep the mid-mount attachment up.
Shut off the engine and remove the key.
Wait for all moving parts to stop and machine components to cool.
Chock the wheels or raise the machine with a machine lift.
Parts needed for this procedure:

| Carriage bolt (3/8 x 1-1/4 inches) | 4 |
| Locknut (3/8 inch) | 4 |

Secure the blade scraper and the plate backer to the right box blade extension using 2 bolts (3/8 x 1-1/4 inches) and 2 locknuts (3/8 inch) as shown in Figure 1. Repeat the same step for the left box blade extension.
Note: Loosely secure the plate backers to the box blade extensions; the fasteners will be tightened in step 5.

Insert the right box blade extension into the box blade attachment bracket (Figure 2). Repeat the same step for the left box blade extension.

Insert 2 stop pins through the bracket and the box blade extension arm (Figure 2). Repeat the same step for the left box blade extension.
Remove a carriage bolt and a locknut from the grader box at the position shown in Figure 3.
Secure the plate backer to the grader box with the bolt and locknut that you removed (Figure 3). Repeat the same step for the left box blade extension.

Tighten the fasteners on the plate backers that you secured in step 1.
