You can install the 62 inch Guardian Recycler Completion Kit, Model 30306, on the base mower, Model 30403 and 30645.
You can install the 72 inch Guardian Recycler Completion Kit, Model 30304, on the base mower, Model 30404 and 30646.
Block up the deck so it does not accidentally fall.
Remove the covers from the top of the deck.
Position the right, center and left recycler chambers under the deck, aligning the mounting holes, as shown in Figure 1 (62 inch mower shown).
Note: Use the Chamber Mounting Holes chart to determine how many chamber mounting holes are used for each deck application.

If you are installing this kit on a Groundsmaster 3400, complete the following:
Using a torque wrench or similar tool, move the spring-loaded idler pulley away from the drive belt to release the belt tension and allow the belt to be slipped off the stationary idler pulley (Figure 2).
Remove the carriage bolt and locknut securing the appropriate stationary idler pulley, flat washer, and idler spacer to the deck. Remove the appropriate stationary idler pulley (Figure 2).
For the Model 30306 Kit: Remove the rear left hand height adjuster assembly when installing the kit.
Fit and secure the chambers (refer to Step 5).
Install the stationary idler pulley, flat washer, and idler spacer to the deck with the carriage bolt and locknut previously removed.
Install the belt onto the pulley.
Secure the chambers to the deck with carriage bolts (5/16 x 3/4 inch) and nuts. The nuts are to be positioned outside the deck (Figure 1).
Note: Steps 5, 6, 9, and 10 pertain only to the Groundsmaster 3280/3320–Model 30306.

Remove the carriage bolt and locknut securing the stationary idler pulley, flat washer, and idler spacer to the deck. Remove the stationary idler pulley.
Mount the roller bracket to the underside of the deck with 3 carriage bolts (5/16 x 1 inch) and nuts (Figure 1).
Mount the roller to the bracket with the bolt, spacer, and nut. If the cutting unit is to be used in the 1 or 1-1/2 inch (25 or 38 mm) height of cut setting, the roller must be positioned in the top bracket holes.
Install the stationary idler pulley, flat washer, and idler spacer to the deck with the carriage bolt and locknut previously removed.
Install the belt onto the pulley.
Install the blades, anti-scalp cups, and blade bolts (Figure 4). Tighten the blade bolts to 115 to 149 N∙m (85–110 ft-lb).
Important: The curved part of the blade must be pointing toward the inside of the cutting unit to ensure proper cutting.
Rotate the blades to make sure that there is no interference.
Tighten all fasteners securely.
Install the covers to the top of the deck.
Remove the blocks and lower the deck.
Affix the appropriate identification decal to the top of the mower deck near the serial plate (Figure 5, Figure 6, Figure 7). Make sure the mounting surface is clean.
