Park the machine on a level surface.
Disengage the PTO.
Move the motion-control levers to the NEUTRAL-LOCK position.
Engage the parking brake.
Shut off the engine and remove the key.
Allow the machine components to cool.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Release the operator cushion from the rear of the machine; refer to the Operator’s Manual
Remove the fuel tank; refer to the Operator’s Manual.
Remove the fuse block from the control panel.
Under the control panel, disconnect the wire harness connectors from the right and left bail switches, hour meter, power-takeoff switch, and key switch.
Models with Kohler engines only: On the left side of the machine, disconnect the indicator light connectors from the wire-harness connectors.
On the left side of the machine, remove the fir-tree and edge clips securing the wire harness to the pivot brake bracket.
Disconnect the wire-harness connector from the bail switch on the pivot brake bracket.
Disconnect the wire-harness connector secured to the engine harness.
Remove and retain the relay on the wire-harness connector.
Remove and retain the fasteners securing the wire-harness connector to the tower panel.
Remove and retain the nut securing the black wire to the engine.
Models with Kohler engines only: Remove and retain the nut securing the red wire to the engine.
On the left underside of the machine, clip the cable tie securing the brown and black wires to the clutch stop (Figure 11).
Remove the wire-harness connector from the clutch and route the wire towards the back of the machine (Figure 11).
Remove the wire harness from the machine.
Remove the existing fuse-block decal.

Clean the area where the existing fuse-block decal was placed and then install the new fuse-block decal.
Install the fuse block into the control panel (Figure 1).
Under the control panel, install the wire harness connectors to the right and left bail switches, hour meter, power-takeoff switch, and key switch (Figure 2).
Models with Kohler engines only: On the left side of the machine, install the indicator light connectors to the wire-harness connectors (Figure 3).
On the left side of the machine, install the fir-tree and edge clips securing the wire harness to the pivot brake bracket (Figure 4).
Connect the wire-harness connector to the bail switch on the pivot brake bracket (Figure 5).
Connect the wire-harness connector to the engine harness (Figure 6).
Use the retained fasteners to install the wire-harness connector to the tower panel (Figure 8).
Install the relay onto the wire-harness connector (Figure 7).
Install the black wire onto the engine and secure it with the retained nut (Figure 9).
Models with Kohler engines only: Install the red wire onto the engine and secure it with the retained nut (Figure 10).
Route the last wire-harness connector towards the clutch on the underside of the machine.
Install the wire-harness connector to the clutch and with a cable tie, secure the brown and black wires to clutch stop (Figure 11).
