Preparing the Machine

  1. Park the machine on a level surface.

  2. Engage the parking brake.

  3. Shut off the engine and remove the key.

Installing the Folding Windshield

For Canopy Models 07921 and 07922

Parts needed for this procedure:

Folding windshield assembly1
Rubber clamp2
Short plastic rivet2
Long plastic rivet8
Plastic spacer8
  1. Unfold the windshield and secure the upper portion of the windshield to the canopy support tubes using the 2 rubber clamps and 2 short plastic rivets in the upper holes (Figure 2).

  2. Align the holes in lower portion of the windshield with the holes in the canopy support tubes (Figure 3).

  3. Secure the sides of the windshield to the canopy support tubes using 6 plastic spacers and 6 long plastic rivets (Figure 3).

    Note: Ensure that you install the plastic spacers between the windshield and canopy support tubes.

  4. Using the windshield as the template, drill 2 holes (8 mm or 5/16 inch) into the dash (Figure 4).

  5. Secure the bottom of the lower portion of the windshield to the dash using 2 plastic spacers and 2 long plastic rivets (Figure 5).

    Note: Ensure that you install the plastic spacers between the windshield and dash.

Installing the Folding Windshield

For Canopy Models 07140 and 07141 and Canopy with ROPS Model 07169

Parts needed for this procedure:

  1. Mark and drill 3 holes (8 mm or 5/16 inch) in each canopy support tube using the measurements shown in Figure 6.

    Important: Ensure that you drill through 1 side of the canopy support tubes only.

  2. Unfold the windshield and secure the upper portion of the windshield to the canopy support tubes using the 2 rubber clamps and 2 short plastic rivets in the lower holes (Figure 7).

  3. Align the holes in lower portion of the windshield with the holes in the canopy support tubes (Figure 8).

  4. Secure the sides of the windshield to the canopy support tubes using 6 plastic spacers and 6 long plastic rivets (Figure 8).

    Note: Ensure that you install the plastic spacers between the windshield and canopy support tubes.

  5. Using the windshield as the template, drill 2 holes (8 mm or 5/16 inch) into the dash (Figure 9).

  6. Secure the bottom of the lower portion of the windshield to the dash using 2 plastic spacers and 2 long plastic rivets (Figure 10).

Operation

Transporting a Machine with the Windshield Installed

When transporting a machine with the folded windshield installed, ensure that you follow these recommendations:

  • The machine is facing forward during transportation.

  • The folding windshield is secured in the down position using the rubber clamps.

  • Do not exceed a vehicle speed of 96 km/h (60 mph).

Maintenance

Cleaning the Windshield

  1. Rinse the windshield with lukewarm water (60° C or 140° F).

  2. Using a soft cloth or sponge, wash the windshield with mild-detergent soap to clear the dirt and grime.

    Important: Do not scrub the windshield with a brush or rough fiber.

  3. Rinse the windshield with lukewarm water (60° C or 140° F).

  4. Dry the windshield using a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
