Safety decals and instructions are easily visible to the operator and are located near any area of potential danger. Replace any decal that is damaged or missing.

Installation

  1. Install the log-grapple attachment on the machine; refer to the Operator’s Manual for the machine.

  2. If the tow hitch is installed, remove it from the log grapple.

  3. Position the rake on a level surface with enough space behind it to accommodate the machine.

  4. Grab the frame of the rake using the log grapple and partially close the grapple tines.

  5. Tilt the attachment plate backward so that the grapple and rake pivot toward the attachment plate.

  6. Slightly open the log-grapple tines so that you can reposition the rake.

  7. Align the hook on the rake with the hitch-mount tube and fully close the tines to raise the hook into the tube.

Operation

  1. Ensure the rake is properly installed attached to the log grapple before moving and use the rake.

  2. Tilt the attachment backward and lower the rake.

  3. Drive the traction unit to push small loose debris.

    Note: For Log Grapples with power rotate, rotate the grapple to angle the rake.

    Important: Do not open the grapple while lifting the rake, otherwise the rake will fall.

Storage

  1. Before long term storage, wash the attachment with mild detergent and water to remove dirt and grime.

  2. Check and tighten all bolts, nuts, and screws. Repair or replace any damaged or worn parts.

  3. Paint all scratched or bare metal surfaces. Paint is available from your Authorized Service Dealer.

  4. Store the attachment in a clean, dry garage or storage area. Cover it to protect it and keep it clean.
